    ... RV's were on the road today (the traffic got heavier after we left the Butte area). Sometimes it seemed that they were very close to 50%25 of the vehicles on the road. We also started to see large numbers of motorcycle groups...again we think that many of them must be heading to Sturgis since the bike rally starts this coming Friday.     ... Kootenai and Pend d’Oreilles tribes. The major road signs (town names, historical markers) are in English and the tribal language. I later learned they are in Salish going north (because the Salish tribe lived in the southern portion of the region and would travel north) and Kootenai going south (I might have that reversed). The language I saw was awesome! The translations were great, too (wish I had pictures for this, sorry). ...

    From there we traveled further south to Painted Rocks Lake State Park. What a gorgeous lake! After we returned to Missoula, the young'uns went "tubing" down the river for about an hour and a half. They had such fun.

    Not much to say about today. I drove from Seattle to Missoula, Montana. Just a stopover on the way to Yellowstone tomorrow. Loved driving through Idaho and now Montana - very high speed limits here (over 120!!).
