... NOT my fault...Mr. John decided that HE needed a chocolate chip frappe! Of course I helped him out with it but I really didn't need one. Really. I promise. Truly. Closer to Missoula the trees became much larger. Some of the big hills we passed showed evidence of past forest fires. They looked so barren...it was sad to see. On the slopes that were not affected by the fires, the trees were quite large and made for a very nice scenic drive for us. It was amazing ...

... room (sort of in an "annex" building away from the "nice" lodge buildings and the lobby building itself -- but we did opt for one of the "cheap" rooms, so what else should we expect!), unloaded the car and got ready for bed. While in the lobby, we picked out a DVD to watch even though it was late ("Cats and Dogs"). We loaded it up and started watching it, but I fell asleep not too long thereafter and I don't think Ruth was far behind me.

the town were full. Apparently that's just how it goes in the summer in that area. Plus there
was a motorcycle rally somewhere that brought a lot of people into town.The hotel was beautiful, only one year old. We picked up a pizza and ate it in our room ...
