... nice and relaxed.
The Falls are of course breath taking... and no picture do it justice... although mine come close!! :-)
The Main street is bit of a carnival, and mainly for familys, but worth the walk, if not for the just for the hotdogs!!
Fantastic day out and the sunset was to die for - se Niagara on the lake pics! :-)
... of historic interest. We thought this was such a cool way of seeing the village, then even better she recommended a pub for dinner.
It was built like an Olde English pub. On the menu was even a Ploughman's lunch. Paul and Joan had fish and chips which were served on newspaper on a plate! I had a yummy Fisherman's pie.
Thankfully the ride back wasn't as long,as Joanie went down the expressway.

... one of the double beds and sat up chatting and eating. We were all tired though and soon opted for sleep (only after checking out the gymnastics competition at the Commonwealth games, of course!)
A few things I forgot to mention about the hotel: the lady who checked us in said it was a $25 fee for a carpark, you had to pay if you wanted wifi upstairs, complimentary breakfast (what's that? $13 thanks!) the airconditioner was so loud we awoke with a start every time ...

In July 1911, the infamous Bobby Leach plunged over the Falls in a steel barrel. Bobby broke both kneecaps and his jaw during his daring event. Years later while touring in New Zealand, Bobby slipped on an orange peel and died from complications due to gangrene. What a crackup!!
We believe that the Canadian side of the Falls is far superior to the USA side. So glad we got to do this visit, just ...
