Stressing Out For Nothing
What a great few days I have had! All the worry about getting to Shenzhen and back in time for work was easy in the end. Maybe it was all my good planning that made the trip run so smoothly. It started with my fellow English teachers taking some of ,my classes.I am indebted to them.

Shaolin temple part 2
... cable cart, see the pagoda forrest, watch a kungfu show, and many more monuments and attractions. One day is not enough to see all there is to see.
We just decided to climb the steps up the mountain (1082 steps) to see the cave where Budhi Dharma stayed for 9 years to meditate on Zen Buddhism, and visit his statue on the top.
On the way up I was again approached by many Chinese who wanted to take a picture.

... the crowds inside the carriage we noticed all the seats where occupied. On these trains its possible to buy a ticket without a seat number, thus a standing place. Apparently most people buy tickets without a seat number and than take a seat that has not been taken yet. Until someone arrives with a ticket with that nominated seat on it. Than they will stand up and start looking for the next free ...
Zhengzhou to Kaifeng and Back Again!
... Luoyang ruled out "possible". They looked it up on the official China Rail website which I've heard is **** from many parties. Apparently the government spent a lot of money on it but it still doesn't work properly, won't accept credit cards and is only in Chinese. They reckon the Indians could have done a better job in two days if the job had been outsourced.
Reception even turned the monitor around so I could read what it said.

Renewing old acquaintances
... excitedly surveying the river and enjoying the entertainment on offer. This includes speed boat rides on the Yellow river, horse rides and various amusement park games including air rifle shooting into an embankment on top of which people are actually walking and could easily be shot (!) as well as the larger 88mm canon that is fired at a target along the bank still within close proximity of the milling crowds!! I don't think the increasing Australian culture ...
