... is known for these decadent treats-- cream puffs as large as a fist, and they are to die for. In fact, if you ate more than one, death could be a real possibility. Perhaps a million calories, but each calorie a delicious one.

Milwaukee held yet another major treat for us. Each weekend in the summer they stage an ethnic fair, which changes from week to week. We happened to be there for Irish Fest, which we read was the largest ...

... I would be behind most of the rough stuff. I had a couple hundred miles to get to the Iowa border and while boring the NE plains were an easy ride. Everything about the ride changed shortly after hitting the Iowa border - Either I caught up to the weather or some new fronts found me. ... That was back in the 70s.

The Point Brewery is very much smaller than the other ones we visited and it is still in the old buildings. The mascot, Nicholas C. At New Glarus, everything was behind glass. At Leinenkugel's we had to put on ...

Today's breakfast character was "The monopoly guy". Not the guy with the top hat and moustache though, this guy was telling some poor fellow about a game of monopoly he played in 1972, including what people rolled on the dice. It was immensely awkward...I didn't mind though, I had donuts (haha Donut Guy!).

So today was Summerfest. I hadn't actually heard of it before planning this trip, although it is the biggest music festival in the whole world! It goes for 11 days ...
