... for the first time. The canopies were so high, that when you looked up at them, the rain drops seemed to be coming down in slow motion. Mike kind of thought that they would be bigger, but it was awesome.
We had a nice stay in Port Alberni with a very welcoming motel owner, and once again, got to watch some TSN!

So we left Qualicum Beach to check out the little village of Coombs, British Columbia. It had a great farmers market and a nice little village to do some shopping in. The market was in a fairly large building and had a fantastic selections of meats, noodles, sauces, candy, etc. Not only was the selection amazing, but the building had a living rooftop complete with goats ...

Heute stand Vancouver Island auf dem Plan.
Was uns im Vorhinein nicht richtig bewusst war, war der große Anreiseweg zur Insel :-)
Wir mussten:

45 Minuten mit dem Skytrain fahren, dann
60 Minuten mit Bus 1,
20 Minuten mit Bus 2,
90 Miunten mit der Fähre,
45 Minuten mit Bus 3 .... um dann endlich in Victoria, der Hauptstadt Vancouver Islands, anzukommen.

... noch Wäsche waschen wollte. Abenteurlich war auch wieder die Suche nach der richtigen Bushaltestelle, um zurück zum Campground zu kommen. Spätabends wurde noch Wäsche gewaschen- das Ergebnis seht ihr auf einem der Fotos ( der Trockner war nicht so das Wahre ). Nach etlichen Diskussionen, ob wir nun Whale Watching machen oder nicht und wer und wo entschieden wir uns für Verschieben des Problems auf paar Tage später und losfahren Richtung Tofino..Und so sind wir mal wieder ...

Had a nice long lie-in till around 10am and then down for breakfast. We then spent most of the morning scouring the papers and Internet for vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
