Oh dear - so soon? The horrid travel day has reared its ugly head. We aren't very good at travel days ... We tend to spend a fair bit of time planning for them but something invariably goes wrong. Today we found out we hadn't booked the hire car! We had decided that the easiest way to get a hire car for this trip was to get one from Heathrow. It is easier to drive around to get out of London than the city. Mr S woke and went looking for the reservation and just couldn't find it - ...

... house which was the house his daughter lived in. Yet another beautiful Tudor style home. After walking along the River Avon and getting some ice-cream we headed up North. We went through the maze which was a lot of ...

... the city. Along the riverfront, we climbed aboard an old ship and admired it's ancient beauty! Also, we stopped at one of the many beautiful restaurants for a bite of pizza and catching some more of the World Cup action. A walk across the beautiful business district bridge at night and we were back in downtown BA. A final walk across to Cafe Tortoni, where we admired the oldest cafe in BA, and home to the scene of many Hollywood cafe scenes, and it was time to head back to the ...

Oh England or 'goodbye to olde England'.

... in parts but really very interesting (is it any wonder international tourist lady spends most of her time on the phone texting or emailing home?). The final photo is not meant to be so symbolic of our time in olde England! But it is goodbye. Tomorrow bright and early (well at least early) we fly to Germany. That is as long as I booked on the computer correctly. Tune in for Act 3 so see if all ends happily as we head for ...
