      ... of Door County. We went from one quaint seaside town to another. From Sturgeon Bay to Carlsville, Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay, Ellison Bay, and at the tip of the peninsula- Gill's Point. Robin and Steve were our personal tour guides.       ... this trip, but I'm glad I did. It has been a wonderful place to chill out for a few days. I haven't done much while I've been here, hiking, napping, knitting, eating. That's pretty much it. I rented a little cabin up in the woods and it has been a great base for exploring the peninsula. Most mornings have started out with my trusty thermal mug of coffee and Addie dancing in the waves at Whitefish Bay State Park.

      ... The other four times were in Michigan over the last two days. Each time, the Michigan Department of Public Works saw fit to announce this important passage. It's the halfway point between the Equator and the North Pole (did you know that? I didn't). We crossed it in Wisconsin this afternoon and the only demarcation was the 44th Parallel Winery. Wisconsin is clearly much less impressed with it's singular geography.
