    ... landing in Lyndonville, Vermont, our home for the next three days. The land got more rugged, the trees more bare, and the scenery progressively more stunning. New Hampshire and Vermont are clearly not interested in showing off for me, because we've had generally gray, rainy weather since we left the coast. But that only served to increase the drama quotient when driving through mist-filled valleys and gazing at shrouded peaks.

    A Visit to Salem

    And along the drive saw so many names related to all that New England history we learned about in school!

    We woke up to a beautifully sunny day. Michelle showed me great stretching exercises using the foam roller and then we decided to go for a bike ride. Michelle and Tony had bikes for us and it was great to see David biking on his recumbent bike. David has been recovering from a stroke and I thought it was a great way to give him some independence and increased mobility. ...
