Very hot. Garmin read 42•c in sun. Pretty canyon pass and surrounded by mountains which were snow capped. Long roads and more I80. There's so much history and things to see in this town but we would need to stay ...

Today we almost got stranded on the highway as we ran out of gas. The good Honda CRV kept on moving forward. We only had 1 mile of gas remaining in the tank when we found a gas station. Nitin had already called AAA and they continued to be on the phone with us to handle any emergency on highway. I was v impressed with their service. Thank u God and ...

... miners found some blue clay on some of the lower slopes of the town and got permission to pave a road down through the middle of town. One miner making at trip into Carson City’s Assay office had the clay analyzed and discovered it was a rich combination of silver and gold in the clay. Our guide said that he wonders how long the main street stayed paved since it’s not paved with the blue clay today.

There is no doubt Virginia ...
