... had one very heavy shower - but it was mercifully brief and we felt rather smug. And then about an hour from the warm welcome of the "Angel Band Farm B&B" it started properly. It was heavy, intense – biblical even, to match the Philippi theme! I swear that there was a fellow off to the left loading his cows into an ark. And then the directions failed and we were lost and….we stopped to ask for help and there was a big scary dog and no people (I ...

Byrd Green Bank Telescope at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia. 485 feet tall and 110 meters in diameter. And the exhibits in their exhibit hall inside were also really interesting.

... away. We're adding a side trip to visit them to tomorrow's plan.

PS: that was the plan, but the warning light did not reappear on startup in the am. The dealer's service manager said that meant it was probably some transient problem, like a dirty contact producing high resistance and lighting up the bad-news screen. But since it had not reappeared after a night's 'rest,' he felt we would be good-to-go without diverting to his shop.
