... Christians. After watching the news, we walked around The Outlets of Orange. We couldn't find anything we wanted to buy so we went to the movies instead. Jim let me choose, so we saw Pawn Sacrifice starring Toby McGuire. It followed the gradual mental deterioration of Bobby Fisher, the World Chess Champion of the 70's. ... We stopped for a little bit of shopping as the girls (and boys) had dollars burning holes in their pockets and also saw the Hollywood sign (from a distance!). ... sciencenter. Here is where Endeavour space shuttle is on display. This museum had a lot of interactive things on offer, but our highlight was seeing the Endeavour. Watching how the space shuttle got to its current location was amazing. They flew it on top of a NASA space craft, then used special transportation vehicles to get it from the airport to the sciencenter... ... that overlooks the floats being worked upon. What a hubbub of activity! People climbing on scaffolding, long tables of workers wielding containers of glue and boxes of flower heads. All of the floats are decorated mostly by volunteers. It was wonderful to see.

After visiting the Rose Palace we hopped back in the car and headed for the Rose Bowl football stadium as the other two decorating venues are close by each other and the stadium.
