... and after setting up the tents we got straight on with cooking, although we were making cottage pie and Mabs and Jo didn't need my help so I played catch with Lexx for a bit. ... south to Wytheville, the thick giant black clouds with rain spilling out was before me. I stopped and put my rain suit on and the luck of the rain suit prevailed. I missed the rain, was able to stop and remove the suit and arrive calm cool and collected. It's beautiful and 90 degrees out now.7pm. Sounds like dinner and a swim. till ...

Wytheville in Wythe County… pronounced WITH-ville in YTH
County… my trivia du jour. Anyway I had to stay here another day to find
that out. Actually- it's Memorial Day
weekend… this and Labor Day weekend pretty much assure campgrounds are full
with longstanding reservations. The
owners here were most gracious and allowed me to stay in their last remaining
camping cabin though ...

... Additionally, sometime yesterday the safety glass in the cabover bunk escape window exploded, sending glass everywhere. Put on a temporary repair (Gorilla Tape) when we stopped for the night tonight. Gorilla Tape is the successor to Duct Tape and MUCH stronger.
