    ... circumstances changed and in 1610, on orders from the governor, the town and crops were destroyed, 16 killed and the wife and children of the chief were captured. This next part is a little hard to tell: When they took them back to the ship, the children were thrown overboard and also shot in the head; the wife was executed. The chief was later killed in a skirmish near Jamestown and the rest of the tribe left the area in 1611.

    1 shower, 4 people....share and play nicely with others. Is this hotel room getting smaller? Nope! It's just fine. Very comfortable. 1:00pm- we are at the Roanoke park area. About to watch a "worth-it" short film on the history.
