... a few people holidaying. We drove right to the end of the peninsular that the main touristy area is built upon. Reminded us of the Gold Coast - canal homes and beachfront houses. At the end of the peninsular was a seaway like at the end of the spit. In face the whole area looked like what the spot would be like if development were permitted. We came back the way we had headed out and back to the hotel. The room still wasn't ready so we ventured into downtown and found a Starbucks ...
... Cristo Sandwich (OMG so good) and later Beignets (which are a bit like donuts). There was a show on the water out from the Cafe which included parts of the Fantasia sequence as well using the pirate ship, paddle steamer, Peter Pan, fireworks, lasers and everything else. It was pretty cool sitting at our dinner table with all this happened in front of us.
We left the park at 10.30pm suitably tired and happy with our big day ...
Kaye and I have finished our second day in Los Angeles.
The trip over was, great with us getting a connecting flight on an A380 in Sydney. We could not believe how large and comfortable the plane was. In business class we had individual pods which allowed you to stand up at the end of your seat and walk around. The seat had electronic movement buttons for the head, legs, and lumber. In fact it flattened completely out for sleeping. Sleeping ...

... we left at 2, because the normal 1 hour drive to the airport turned into. 2+ hour drive! as they'd closed all lanes going into Vancouver but one. Merging from five lanes into one was horrendous, and we sat there for ages! Once we got through the traffic, we got lost, but we asked a taxi driver and he showed us the way! Finally we got the the airport, where Mrs Faber, Kristi and I would part ways. I'm sad to say goodbye to them, but I happy that I had the opportunity to do it. I ...
