We plan to stay around here tomorrow and will probably head down I-55 Sunday.
The motorhome with its new tires worked beautifully and we had no problems. Phil, who
is as handy as Ron isn't, installed a couple of grab bars in critical spots so we old folks
can maneuver more safely,
Except for the wind on the travel days, weather has been cool but very nice and will be

Trip up the St. Louis Arch
... that didn't exist. Though, on the plus side all the driving around gave Mel some good photo ops of the arch. Finally we turned on Google navigation and got there in 5 min.

Mini vacation!
... was raining..perfect day for a.movie..or two!! There was a movie theater close by so we swung by there to see Argo. However it was sold out! We discovered the movie theater was only charging $4 for matinee and $6 for evening shows. So what do we do?? Jon and I saw a matinee showing of "Here Comes the Boom" , headed to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, and back to the theater for "Argo." Such a fun weekend for us!! Heading Home
Left Chicago - really enjoyed it but it is time to go. Stopped in Diamond and Coal City to get lunch at a Subway. Drove through Bloomington and Springfield, IL, then on into St. Louis, MO. It is right on the border of Illinois and Missouri. We drove by the Gateway Arch - quite impressive. Kept driving...the rest of St. Louis did not look too impressive. Decided to stay in the Harrah's hotel/casino (guess whose idea this was) and the room was nice and clean. ...
