One recommendation by the Rushwins, we made our way to OKC to a lunch place called Pops. It is on old historic Route 66. It is a bit out of the way and we were beginning to wonder if it was worth the drive outside of downtown. Mind you, we had already gone to the wrong place, Soda Pops, an imposter and not to be mistaken for Pops. We took a chance and turned around and ...

Another beautiful day of weather for driving! We were heading to El Reno, just west of Oklahoma for our first stop. I wasn't able to get any photos but we did find it fascinating to see Oil pumps several places as we drove around Oklahoma City. A sure sign you are in the SW.

While we were pumping fuel, I noticed the sky was beautiful as the sun was setting. I grabbed ...

DAY FOURTEEN

... Just outside Amarillo we noticed a crop duster flying extremely low over a local farm abutting I-40. We lost sight of the plane until it was 100 yards away heading straight for us. I was in the lead and it flew right behind me and directly over Ben's head missing him by what seemed to be about 10 feet. It was honestly that low and that close. Our adrenalin was maxed out and ...
