Some nice points about Iowa I80...The road was smooth, rest stops every 30 miles, free WiFi, and some even had "dump stations". Thank you IOWA! At 1:00 it is raining & 66. So, here we are waiting for 2 new tires to arrive. We had a flat on the ROP side. We were very fortunate, it happened just as we exited for gas and to stop for the nite...pulled across the street into Sapp Bros service center. 4 trucks. .. A mere $1,000 later.. Amazingly enough, we were able to wake Alex and Cameron up at 7:45, which considering that they stayed up to 11 watching a Star Wars movie, is all the more incredible. As soon as the two of them woke up, they fell right back into playing together, as if they had known themselves their entire lives.
After getting up and around, Chris and Cameron joined Alex and I to go to the airport, but not before saying our thank yous and goodbyes to Lisa ...
Had an excellent time at the 50th annual Christ the King Sports Club Banquet. Was the guest of Chris Abboud, who is the world champion introducer of all time. Can't even count how many people I shook hands with and talked about the big issues of the day.
