... of the best sites of the trip so far. It was a series of 1.25% larger than life bronze sculptures of a pioneer wagon train. It was so realistic Peg had to go up and feel the harness on the horses to make sure it was bronze not leather. The detail and variety of figures from oxen to mules to the wagons and the people was just astounding. Seeing these figures juxtaposed against the modern city buildings was surrealistic. .

Spent the night in the Cracker Barrel in Council Bluffs. Breakfast there. Headed to Horseshoe Casino. Had a good time there. Ate at the Binion. Played for awhile. ... and it is delicious!! We enjoyed a sampling of all four varieties: dry, sweet, strawberry and peach before getting a PITCHER of the sweet. Hehe, it still amazes me- a pitcher of champagne. The place itself was everything I hoped it would be: dark, walls covered in random memorabilia, sticky, awesome. The website mentions that it was originally named "The Homey Inn" but the name was shortened after all of the letters wouldn't fit on the original ...

... did happen upon a llama farm, which was the sightseeing highlight of the day.

We rolled into Omaha at around 3 p.m., checked into the hotel, went out for a little shopping, and then another steak dinner at Anthony's Steakhouse. It was very flavorful, just too much food.

Back to the hotel and, sadly, it's time for the mandatory pre-flight night packing. Our Wild West Expedition is nearing its ...
