First Weekend in Charleston

A travel blog entry by oransch on Aug 03, 2014

... we can fix it there.

On the way home John took me through downtown, to show me a little bit and we made a short stop at Harris Teeter to get a bin of smashed tomatoes and some carotts for dinner.

As agreed with Samantha and John, the kitchen was mine at the evening and I could run riot in there. :-)
I got some hash, the fresh and smashed tomatoes, some carrots, a onion and the potatoes.
John finished it off, so I guess they both liked it and I'm allowed ...

A travel blog entry by oransch on Aug 01, 2014

It was a really good night, as I was that tired from the trip and I could nearly sleep as long as I wanted to.

I got up at about 10 am to get breakfast, as Mortimer and Morgan where already awake.

We won't be able to pick up Cody or to begin to search for Goliath until tomorrow morning. I hope and pray that God protects him for another night. Good ...

[M] There are so many highlights of our trip to Charleston, SC, that I hardly know where to begin...I mean, first there was the fact that it was Christmas and we were fortunate enough to spend it with the whole family back Stateside - which was absolutely wonderful...but we also made it a point to "play tourist" and take in some of the amazing sights and sounds and tastes of Charleston.

One ...

Final Packing & Other Stuff

A travel blog entry by pauljoan on Sep 06, 2012

We're done packing except for the few bathroom necessities we will need in the morning.Tomorrow we pack the dog off to the kennel for his doggie vacation and then our very helpful neighbor packs us off to the airport. Then we pack ourselves into the packed seats in the plane, right after we pack our carry-on into the overhead bins. Bet you're thinking I'm a Green Bay fan by now.

We found out that this big traveling thing requires a family. ...
