... and sidewalk cafes. We walked along, enjoying the sites while feeling the heat and humidity.

We decided to stop at an Irish Pub for lunch. As with most meals for Alex on this trip, he selected the fish an chips. He has probably eaten fish and chips for half the dinners and lunches on this trip.

Mallett's Bay is located on the 40 mile Island Line Trail. We biked about 12 miles of this beautiful, well maintained trail that includes waterfront and parks which connects Burlington to South Hero Island. A large portion of this trail is a former Rutland Railroad railbed (stopped running in the 1960s) which includes a very long causeway across Malletts Bay.
