We drove about 400 miles today. A little further than we had wanted, but we relaxed when we arrived. We are in a very nice RV park, Arkadelphia RV Park. We have driven through much farmland. Soybeans, corn and now some cotton fields. Farmers are praying for dry weather and wind to dry out their fields. The further south we came, the fields are drying enough and the farmers are busy with their ...

As it happened, we did not attend the last day of the conference due to unforeseen circumstances. We spent a fairly quiet day; we did tour Little Rock a bit more. We found the Little Rock Central High School site (still a working high school). ... the side of the trailer. Finally got out just before noon. About two hours later than planned. We may have left Dean’s basketball at the KOA. The wind has probably blown it to the east coast by now.

  • Construction between Memphis and Little Rock had us stopped on the interstate for a while. When we got to the actual construction zone, there was an RV broken down forcing everyone onto the inclined dirt shoulder. Damn ...

What a day. Our day started off around 2:50am (PST), when our alarm not so politely reminded us (after only about an hour of sleep mind you) it was time to get up and start our adventure. We made our way from our home in Saint Helens, Oregon to the Portland airport. From PDX we left bound for Denver, CO, with a final destination of Little Rock, AR. Our flight from was Portland to Denver was with United airlines, we were a bit disappointed since ...
