Today I bought an iPad keyboard with the hope of blogging during my three-week trip to Europe coming up in five days. It wasn't until I got back, popped my iPad in and pulled up Safari that I realized my blog host does not support blog editing on an iPad - which is what I'm taking to Europe. The further south we came, the fields are drying enough and the farmers are busy with their ...

We drove around town and we did find a great BBQ spot: The Whole Hog. Go ahead and go whole hog; it was good eats!

We left the next day for Crater of Diamonds State Park, where you can dig your own diamonds and other gems, and keep them if you find them. This old volcanic plain contains the effluent of three volcanic cones, ...

Crater of Diamonds was really nice. There were a couple of families staying by us that were so friendly – they had kids on spring break (including two boys about Dean’s age!) and invited us to hang out. We got to spend a little time with other adults and Dean rode bikes and played games. Dean and I even got to experience part of their camping tradition - s’mores and an installment of the ...
