This morning I checked out of the YWCA and pushed the few blocks to the city's central station. I'm glad I had cased the joint yesterday because it masquerades as a car park, with no obvious pedestrian entrance from the surface.

I had half-an-hour to wait in the business lounge before boarding the train. I had been able to break from my generally low-budget approach to this trip ...

This morning we woke up to clear skies and sunshine in Dt. Jean - Port- Joli and were very glad of it. We went to breakfast and had a full on breakfast prior to heading out, but were soon of the road and rolling south on Highway 20. The garlic goes in now before the ground freezes and the snow falls so that it has a chance to start taking root before winter hits. The lambs are due to be picked up in 2 weeks time so I've come right at the very end of the season although France always ...

... seems to all work out...though I've never seen so many sweet potatoes in my life - there was definitely no shortage of food! :D

At the end of my stay at Glenorra I feel like I've worked hard and met some interesting people but this isn't quite the kind of HelpX experience I'm looking for. Too often I felt just like free labour and felt I was taking away the possibility of a paid job for someone else. We were left to prepare food for ourselves which gave ...
