We slept fine in our first attempt at camping. The state park was quiet and clean. The tents went up in the dark with no problems. Good thing Lee and Kathy put up the tent and slept out in their yard before the trip. When things were set up and bags spread on top of out thermoset pads we stopped for some whiskey. Showers to wash off the bug spray and into our cocoons we went. Up early we joke around with the woman staffing the fee booth, ...

I remembered that it was our 22nd wedding anniversary, so I gave my husband a card with a bike on it with a reference to a journey. A little hokey, I know.

This morning we woke up to clear skies and sunshine in Dt. Jean - Port- Joli and were very glad of it. We went to breakfast and had a full on breakfast prior to heading out, but were soon of the road and rolling south on Highway 20. This is avey nice four lane, limited access road that we stayed on until just south of Quebec City where we headed out into the countryside for a tour of the Eastern Townships. These are the ...

... The first game we got to watch was the USA vs Belgium which turned out to be the best game of the playoffs, so far. We have really got into the soccer games, they are a lot easier for us to understand than American football.
We took a few more drives into the Adirondack Mountains, we stopped at Nature Centers & went on a few more great hikes!! The Adirondacks are a GREAT place ...

... by chasing them in completely the wrong direction - perfect! I also learnt the hard way that sheep are not particularly patient when it comes to being fed and 27 hungry sheep plus a muddy field is a perfect recipe for me to end up being trampled...a few slips and slides and a lot of shoving (on both sides) and I manage to get enough grain down to distract them while I bolt for the fence. Who knew sheep had such a violent side?!
