This was a fast food but healthy, with brown rice, vegetables and chicken :) We then headed back to the hostel and ended up going out with everyone to Washington Street which was a few Kms down the road. We went up to reception and checked out. We were hoping to say goodbye to Edwin, the friendly manager of this Super 8 in Long Beach. He was good to us but we also needed to provide a forwarding address for anything, like invoices, that will come from the Hospital. ...

... on to walk down to the beach before the sun went down. I don’t associate California with anything that resembles winter. Like it being dark in the afternoon. Or clouds. Or chilly breezes. That’s why it feels a little strange. The climate feels different from home. And also different from California as I know it. As I knew it. Anyway, I did get to see the sun going down. Although it was obscured partially by clouds, so ...
