A travel blog entry by jan-pete-cycle on Jan 31, 2015

... Outside there are huge barns with all the gold records and clothes, all a bit strange but I wouldn't have missed it. We thought we would stay the night in Memphis but it really didn't look too good so we carried on to Little Rock, Arkansas and the La Quinta hotel. It was quite late and all that was around the hotel was fast food but it was too cold to walk far so we settled for a sandwich at Jimmy Johns across the road then back to room to watch a little TV, driving is tiring when you're ...

Cumulative Miles Driven: 1337

... a bit monotonous as TN is a very wide state, finally into AR where the scenery begins to change, things get a bit more arid, sandy, less green. Arrived at our friend Andy's house early evening. Andy is a long time friend of mine and Kristina's who moved from NC a couple years ago. Was nice to visit, catch up and share some beers and some ...

... on this trip. I was so excited! But as soon as we walked in to the restaurant, my gut sank. The place smelled totally gross. We had to be strong though, so we all ordered up some burgers to go, and gave them a try. Heather said “one was plenty” for her, and Layla was concerned that this yucky food was going to count as our one “dining out” experience for the day. Kae didn’t know what to think. Bottom Line ...
