        ... for our meal of the day, and discovered that it was literally across the street from the Lorraine Motel, site of Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination in 1968. Lunch can wait, we need to see this. It felt very solemn to stand so close to that historic tragedy, especially on 9/11.

        It was raining hard which made for a real challenge to get the van packed up. We had to move everything from the front of the car to the back while still inside the van, usually we open up all doors and walk it around. Anyway we are adaptable, got it done and head off to Graceland.

        ... the walking but tonight's meal was the beginning of the end. Beale street was strangely eery with not many people out and about. I can imagine it was once an incredibly vibrant place, but sadly now there are empty restaurants and bars.         ... had cleared up so i went for a walk outside, had
        a look at the park and went and had a look at the river, then i went
        back to the hotel lobby, where i meet up with the rest of the group
