Did you know the Capital building was built on September 11th 1941 exactly 60 years to the day when the planes hit it in 2001. Our next stop was the Lincoln memorial where Martin Luther King did his very famous speech, I have a dream. Next up The Washington memorial, where in Forest Gump, Forest does his speech and talks to Jenny in the reflection pool.Their ...

We both commented how it was not our preference to drive in the dark and we should avoid it as we miss the scenery. We did have a bit of a delay at Canadian Customs (cars ahead taking SO long to get through), but when it came to be our turn, we got right through with no problem. We got to the Rex Hotel a little ahead of our 11:30 p.m. ...
