... and lived to tell about it. The whackadoodle trying to get her bike on the subway, forcing two people to move, and oblivious to the inconvenience she was causing must be mentioned. We could barely contain ourselves when the subway door kept slamming the back tire and slamming back open. Kudos to the gentleman who helped the oblivious one get squared away! ... veterinarian works out of his home, with no computer in sight and old school file cabinets. It's where people still write checks at the grocery store and say hello even though they don't know who the you are :) We're both road weary and right now are planning to base here for a few months. I'm enjoying the peacefulness of the woods, trying to sneak up on chipmunks and even the freaking bird that sounds like a dying pac man arcade game. Hope all is well with everyone. Bye for now ...

... reception and the only place was out in the rain soaked grassy area where we thought we would sink. the creek had risen even more and we were getting flash flood warnings on our phone.

Don Laine Campground

Don Laine Campground was one of the nicest campgrounds we have been in since we left Roseville California. It was in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania just north of Allentown. The campground was situated on the top of a hill and you could see the all the hills below us and they were in full fall color. This was a terrific campground. ... offered few, if any, rest stops on major highways and very few scenic overlooks. Neither were there any mile markers, leaving us to wonder exactly where we were sometimes......

We loved Canadian Walmarts - they offered great free wifi - to date, we haven't found free wifi at any US Walmarts.

The Canadians we met seemed pretty happy with their lives and all took pride in being Canadian.
