    ... CHP, and Vietnam Veteran's motorcycle escorts took great care of us today. We rolled through virtually every red light under escort and were frequently cheered by car drivers who were temporarily stuck due to our presence.

    Lunch each day is provided by the USO...they have a full service lunch truck and serve hot and cold food...its pretty awesome!

    ... GREAT, now something ELSE to worry about. Found out the quake was a 3.9 magnitude and was just a few miles south of where we are camped.

    ... 180 miles, but it seemed like 300 for some reason. Easy drive until we got to Salinas and the traffic became bumper to bumper coming from the beachside communities. Once we were through that we got to Betabel RV Park. We've got a beautiful corner spot that’s probably the longest in the park, right next to the dog walk and open space. Perfect!!
