Our time to leave Rough River and we awoke to clearer skies and little wind. An uneventful short flight back to Owensboro to refuel, using the FBO's facilities to file a flight plan. ... desperate to charge devices, have showers and do
laundry (ok that last one was just me.) Nice enough place, a small
but warm enough pool that Josh, Ben and Kait enjoyed but they had one
wonderful thing. A place to swap books! I have had a stack of about
10 books waiting to swap out and was reading my last book so I was
getting a little bored with the limited selection left in the RV.
Thankfully I came away with a whole bunch more reading for myself and
some for Kaitlin too.
... sushi, because I can't eat any more fried stuff right now. I'm totally in the wrong place for that, I know, but the sushi was good! And I still have that free tiny chocolate bar from Dublin airport if things get bad later on. I was thinking of taking a quick dip in the pool, because it's there and I'm here and it's 90 freaking degrees outside and there's been no storm, only rain. So. Maybe. I drove about 400 miles today! That's like 640km in REAL numbers!! ...
