It is verrryy difficult to find a liquor store in Pennsylvania probably becuz they have the strictest liquor regulations in all of the USA.       ... often in Atlantic Canada and we noticed that no-one (except us) wore raincoats - they just wore their everyday clothes and didn't hurry to avoid getting put of the rain - guess they're used to it.....

      We saw very few signs of poverty, even in big cities. There appears to be more of a middle class in Canada, although there certainly are some wealthy Canadians - we drove by many huge estates on our travels.

      ... as we crossed into Maryland. We finally had a Cracker Barrell experience today at lunch. I had crusty grilled trout with lemon, sweet potatoes, crunchy broccoli and moist flaky buttermilk tea biscuits slathered with lots of butter. Yummy! One couple, and their kids, talked to us as they walked us to a local store for a drink. .......I love little towns - kinda that Mayberry feeling here.
