The Favourite Part of This Trip

A travel blog entry by 9lives on Oct 25, 2014

... This time we chose the Quality Inn on the by-pass. It was late when we got in as the Atlanta traffic was chock a block. Who knows why?

This Quality Inn was not as nice as the one in Ohio but still satisfactory. We drove to our favourite dinner spot - Margueritas.

... It was beautiful! We just left Waynesville NC where we spent some time with our friends Flagg and Carole. This area is just amazing. Everywhere you look you are surrounded by the beautiful Smoky Mountains. While there we visited the Biltmore Estate in Ashville and loved it. We are spending the night in Forsythe GA then on to White Springs Fl. We will be home either Tues or Wed after four great months on the road and lots of ...

And just two more days of Pimslurs Swedish.

This is our one year anniversary where we are being sealed in the LDS Temple ...

Arrived yesterday in the pouring rain. Had spent the day doing general store with grist mill in Helen. Did a great hike to Ruby Falls. Went on to Clayton. Visited the Main St Gallery but the right Folk Art wasn't there - some cute birds and a gourd turkey - but not quite right. Had a dynamite lunch in a new restaurant called Fortify and then headed south. Drove through the pour in rain and arrived at the KOA. Had "lovely" take-out from Wendy's and turned in early. Had ...

More on toll roads, and bugs

A travel blog entry by dsandow on Sep 14, 2013

... all of the bad things I said earlier about toll roads, this very nice lady was so helpful to us and probably saved us an hour or two of going nowhere on the interstate. That $9.75 for tolls today was money very well spent.

So, now we motor down the highway only to run into hundreds of thousands of bugs. They were so bad that wipers could not clear the mess. A stop at Walmart let many of them into the RV ...
