... br> Didn't President Obama know we only had one whole day here? Very inconsiderate of him, he could of at least let us know in advance that he would be doing his Earth Day speech there, maybe then we could have changed our plans. We might have to have words with him to make sure it doesn't happen again!

On the way back to the motel we stopped at a mega sized Walmart and bought a few bits that we would need for Ecuador, along with a couple ...

There's a huge problem with people releasing unwanted tropical pets like snakes & turtles which upset the natural balance of nature. As we joined a path along a man made canal I turned my back to look which way to go & just behind me were 3 alligators sunning themselves!!

After trying and failing to spend all my shopping money, we drove back to North beach to relax on the beach some more. There was a beach BBQ going on that we were thinking about checking out but they were all sitting at the tables in the shade and we really wanted to ...

... get more sleep after I had eaten. And sleep I did. It was around 8am when I got breakfast, and after midday before I stirred. I could have so easily just stayed in bed all day. Pity I had a schedule to keep. I dressed to explore the Everglades NP and drove the 20min to get there. That Annual pass was the smartest thing I had purchased, once again I'm straight in. I didn't receive a map when I entered as I had at every other NP I had been in, so I ...

... So I looked up the only grocery store I knew would be around, Walmart. The names of normal grocery stores seem to change with each state I travel to, so I went with what I knew cause I had no idea what else to search. The closest one was 20min away. Grrr! I finally pick up my food and head towards the beach. I wanted to see what the beach was like before I moved on. I didn't realise how painful it was going to be to get there. Traffic was terrible and finding a ...
