    ... Not a bad first day in Paris, huh? We took a short cab ride back to the hotel and had a pleasant driver that gave us some great tips for the picnic lunch we plan to have tomorrow! I can't believe just how friendly all the locals we have met have been...I always had the impression that many are not friendly nor are found of Americans.     ... boats and dinner cruises. Lots of statues and monuments all around. I would have loved to get pictures of them all but was unable to. We did take a picture of a monument to the Cleveland Firefighters which was right by the Science Center.
