... Dad came home from work & then we all got ready for tonight. Dad is playing in a salsa band called 'salsa rhythm' and they are playing tonight in the bar 'margaritas'. Dad left at 7pm and Fred, Ruti and i had a few beers at home! So cool watching daddy playing in a band! We danced salsa..I love it! The girls from zumba have been there, too. Such a fun night!!! ...

All week the weather forecast called for 50 degrees and heavy rain/thunderstorms during the race. Thankfully, I was prepared. We stayed at the Marriott in downtown Louisville, which made things super easy. Race start time was at 7:30 AM and I woke up at 6:45, threw on my race clothes, and walked out the door.

Since neither of us felt like an enormous breakfast, I checked Yelp (my favorite app for discovering good local restaurants no matter where I travel) and found a little bagel and coffee shop a half mile or so away from our hotel.
