      Friday morning we reluctantly left beautiful San Francisco in search of the redwoods. After getting through the city traffic and dealing with inept restaurant employees we were on the coast road. First was wine country and hippy towns. We stopped at a makeshift head shop along the way but just couldn't bring ourselves to buy tie dyed anything. We made it out with a "coexist" bumper sticker and were back on the road.
