      Our last day we checked out of the hotel and met a friend from my University days for lunch, then went for a look at the famous Venice Beach before going to our hotel. Because we needed to be at the airport by 6am we decided it was wisest to get a hotel close by.

      Once again, it was sad saying goodbye to Colleen & Gary, but we hope it won't be too long before we see them again.

      So, we begin the last leg of our adventure - 8 days in Hawaii. ...

      ... We were a bit slow to get a great spot to watch the fireworks but they were still fantastic, but we had a great spot to watch the parade.       Woohoo...today we went to Disneyland and it was AWESOME!!!!!

      We had a continental breakfast at our hotel and then we bought a 3 Day Park Hopper and headed up the road. It was forecast to be 28 degrees and we were only about 10 mins walk and then we were in Disneyland...so amazing!

      ... quaint buildings and huge fake 'toony' hills that towered over this 'world'. We sat for a while on a bench just watching the people hurry past, children tugging at their Mum's shirts begging for a ride on this, or this toy, or popcorn, or an icecream.       ... galaxy far far away. The kids (and me) love it. Hinesh doesn't quite appreciate the ride since he has not seen Star Wars (true story). At the shop after the ride we try on the Darth Vader ears and take happy snaps.

      Lunch is is at Downtown Disney and for once we are served normal size food so we had to order another dish. We enjoyed a Caribbean lunch and Boogs and the kids are scoffing down popcorn chicken and chips. After lunch we do some shopping in the Disney art ...
