      Hanging Around Downtown Disney

... through Downtown Disney to grab some Pizza for dinner and caught a glimpse of the fireworks on the way back to our hotel. They are very clever. Fire works in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head, Smiley Faces, lots of color and sparkle. All very nice.

Early night tonight ready for another day at Disneyland tomorrow. Expecting nice weather around 26 degrees. A bit like what you are having in Melbourne I see. Great holiday weather!

DAY 1 - Anaheim, Downtown Disneyland

We could not check into our hotel when we arrived so we walked like the living dead across the road and into Downtown Disney (this is what they call it here...they use 'downtown' instead of 'city' or 'cbd'). My first impressions of Disneyland is that it's like Movieworld on the Gold Coast, but on mega steroids. It is just FULL ON, OTT. I am trying to ease my way out ...

We started our day with a buffet breakfast at the Storyteller's Cafe in our hotel. It's a great restaurant set up and what I loved was that it was a Characters breakfast too so we had a few Disney characters join us for breakfast!! Food wasn't too bad... If you like waffles, try the Mickey Mouse Waffles! They are very yummy! So throughout the morning at our breakfast table we were greeted by Chip & Dale the chipmunks, the two brother bears and a raccoon! Got photos with them all ...

      Day 21

Today was Disney Day. After a longer than necessary walk, we arrived at the gates of Disney California Adventure, and Disneyland. We decided that we would do Adventure first, and off we headed. It was a great morning, riding on both kid's rides and the larger rollercoasters. Because this time of year is their off season, the wait for any of the rides was no more than 10 - 15 minutes. ...
