    Beautiful day for a road trip to Lubbock, Tx where many country stars were born. This is a nice little city with all the amenities. Cassidy had some returns to do, I wanted to scavenger hunt for things to put in my Bethany, Mo booth and hit the health food store. Fun day with my daughter and glad I could do it.

    Left home at 8:30, 75 degrees, south winds blowing. Had to drag Smokey out from under the bed. Traveled west on 287 to I20 . Everything is beautiful as we traveled past Weatherford, Ranger and Cisco toward Snyder. Beautiful rolling hills and mesas. Big ranches with mesquite and oak trees. Stock ponds are all full. ...

    OK, we came to Lubbock to see a few things so let's get started. First though we had to see if we could fix the windshield wiper. What we thought was a loose screw/nut (I know many people think we have the loose screws) was, but just not the one we thought it was. As it turns out, there are two nuts, the first one we encountered is a lock nut, and it was not that loose. We tightened it a little and then turned on the wipers. It didn't make a lot ...
