Today my dad joined me and my mom in visiting Callaway Gardens! We stopped by Callaway Gardens' Country Shop first for the view and sample of country foods like grits and syrupy biscuits. According to the my parents, the food at the country shop restaurant is mediocre and expensive, but people go there for the view! Apparently the medical course has already been filled, but they are still looking for an instructor for the forensic science course. I said I'd be up for it! Roosevelt purchased the resort and the 1,700-acre farm surrounding it in 1927. It was transformed into what would become ...

... the Jets. The crowds were out the sun was shining and the atmosphere was full and exciting! The valet's were happy and smiley and we took Mini out for a spin and Val took me to Tuk Tuk, a Thai restaurant, just for sentimental purposes, of course :-)

My first morning in America, we walked across Centenial Park to the Waffle House (an American institution!) and I ate a pecan waffle with maple syrup and crispy bacon, delicious! A walk around ...

Finished packing & Austin dropped us off at the airport. Couldn't believe it, we are in line to check in & we see Tori & her family. Tori is one of Amelia's sorority sisters & dear friend from Mercer, had no idea that we would be on the same flight to Madrid!! The first plane took a mechanical & boarded a 2nd plane, which made us 2 hours late taking off & NO pre-flight champagne service....a taste of how the start of our trip went! Stay ...
