While listening to my most favorite song at the moment (Turtle, by Alana Davis), I've realized my trip has BEGUN!!!! It wasn't real until now. I'm sitting at my seat on my way to JFK airport, waiting for my dinner, and I don't really have much to say except that my excitement is finally here. No worrying, no doubting, just excitement. 4th Place: Baipai Cooking School in Bangkok, Thailand. What a treat this was! The cooking school we chose, gave us a fabulous lessons in Thai cooking. The staff was so helpful and friendly and gave us wonderful recipes and instruction to recreate some wonderful Thai dishes. It really was a highlight of our stay in Bangkok. Besides actually getting to cook our dishes...we also got to eat what we made! Double the fun! ...
... I last sore Linda well over 30 years or more. We had a great evening, great food and it was a shame we could not of stayed longer but we had already made plans to in North Carolina.
... care for victims of polio. Our private tour of this facility, which is still a working hospital, was taken with the Warm Springs archivist. It was an amazing and informative experience which incorporated his knowledge of the spaces and activities that Rosalie would have used while in their care. Needless to say our visit to this historic area made a huge impact on us both.

... where I was meeting up with Mum. I will fill you in about San Francisco, Thanksgiving in America and Atlanta in my next blog, by which time I will also be home and Christmas will be on our doorsteps. A terrifying thought, it doesn't feel like Christmas to be yet, even though all the advertising is out here and houses are decorated. I suppose Christmas is always associated with home, and home still feels distant, even though I know I will soon be home with an unfortunate bump.
