Our departure from Germantown was on a very wet morning and unfortunately things did not improve on the way north. The scenery was looking good but would have been even better were it not for the driving rain that lashed at us most of the day.
I keep reminding myself, this is travelling not always a holiday.

We learned about the massive 64 earthquake , Cooks inlet named after a British sailing Captain, and the railroad building camp that was the beginning of the city. The day ended with a meal of oysters and seafood chowder . Tomorrow we train to Talkeetna and will enjoy a jet boat river ride to see wildlife and spawning ...
Not much happened today, slept in, ate, drove around Pittsburgh, shopped & ate again, this time we went to Denny's Diner. They burger was very good. Then we shopped again then headed back to hotel. Just relaxing now. Will be heading off to Washington DC early tomorrow ...
