Leaving the KOA , we traveled to the tip of SC , Lake Hartwell , to visit Peggy and Chuck Herda. Had a nice lunch with them, and lots of laughs- they are doing great in their beautiful home on the lake. Once we left there, we drove to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where we'll explore for two ...

Snow and ice covered the road for the majority that we hiked, but it actually wasn’t too slippery. In about 3 miles, shortly before the road fords Toxaway River, we turned right to follow another old road that runs upstream along Toxaway River. The old road was about a mile long, ...

... I made it almost all the way up to the top of Mont Blanc. I saw sea birds even Judy hasn't put on her life list. England'll be there; so will Lisbon, Luxembourg, Norway, Finland, Tangiers (you're safe, Andrea; the score for Africa is still Dad 0, Andrea 0), and Tallinn, all of which were definitely on my "collecting list" this time.

If you remember how I ended last year's blog, however, you may recall I said "would I do ...
