    ... would be gone a long time. He was fine about that so at 1.10pm off I went to have my first real taste of an American State Fair. When I had gone to get a coffee it didn't seem like there were many people there as the fair ground was so vast (though it was small by comparison with other US state fairs I was told several times) but by the time I went in to look around it was really busy.
