      At Sea - Day 11

A travel blog entry by timtamm on Oct 02, 2014

... The evening was very pleasant and we enjoyed ourselves. Debbie Bacon was playing piano all night but we really did not pay a lot of attention to her, she was good, at least I enjoyed the music she chose. John and I did not bother going to the Formal Ball we went straight to our cabin because I had a rather bad headache, not surprising as I had 4 champagnes and a glass of red wine. A good night but I am glad we will be going ashore ...

We hiked a trail called the skyline trail which gains about 1500 ft elevation, we got up to kind of the foot of the peak if that makes sense - the bit where the snow starts anyway! ... the Buckners car pulled up next to mine. What are the odds... I do not have to "text to find". Once checked in, we five made our way to the South Satellite , and the British Air Business lounge, directly above our departure gate. ... Sunday in Oakland.

Distance traveled: 1271 miles (I'm only counting the miles I drive)
      Stadiums visited: 1!

Sight of the Day: The view, especially Mount Rainier, from the top of our hike. Honorable mention goes to the Steve Largent jersey I saw at the game!

Quote of the Day: "Man you rocked that glissade, PattyCake!" -Uncle Winston (Just because is a perfect Uncle Winston type comment!)

... as it's tiny, itīs more like a square, but it's certainly a perfect observation spot.

Seattle was also the place were Romana and I went to our very first prom :-). One of Rachel's friends organized his birthday in form of a high school prom, so that we could take real prom pictures and of course dress up nicely. It was a lot of fun!

Seattle is indisputably a city of two things, well of three things - happy hours, free samples and coffee. Let ...
