Good Value for Money in a Central Location.

Very clean, comfortable and spacious room (on the top floor), nice decor and relatively quiet location with friendly staff. Relatively central to some attractions (LACMA, Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills etc).

      Wx: Overcast (Min: Max: )

The cough is getting worse and although I don't feel sick, I am feeling rather tired from constantly coughing. I also have an annoying headache from the coughing. It's beginning to become annoying!

Nevertheless, I headed off on another walk towards the city and come across a 'Latin American' enclave. …

      Downtown LA!

      Wx: Sunny (Min: Max: )

Having developed a cough overnight (thanks to some people smoking outside my door during the evening and their smoke wafting in through the window), it was a little more difficult getting out of bed again! Still, after a bit of a sleep in, I managed to drag myself out and went for a walk towards Downtown. I did have …

Another 5.5km sojourn down Wilshire Blvd and I arrived at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). LACMA is 'next door' to the La Brea Tar Pits, which is a natural phenomena where natural asphalt has been seeping up through the ground for tens of thousands of years. Hancock Park has been …

Wx: Overcast & Warm (Min: 12C Max: 19C)

Having every intention of visiting the Los Angeles County Museum of Arts (LACMA) and The Farmer's Markets today, I woke up feeling decidedly tired and malaise. I had an extended sleep in (such a comfy bed and room), soaked in a lovely bath and enjoyed reading some more of my current book - …

Ready and 'armed' for La La Land (Hollywood) and all it has to offer, I headed north towards the BIG SIGN. Not being UP on all the celebrities and not being that knowledgeable about television or movies or the music industry, I guess I wasn't that well 'armed' but like they say, when in LA you' …
