We drove down to Ocean Grove from Philly with one Allard and one little Evans in the morning. It was a steamy hot 90 degrees - a great day to get out of the city! After schlepping the kids with some difficulty from car to boardwalk, we realized that Ocean Grove beaches were closed until noon on Sundays because it's a place with Christian affiliations / heritage. People shouting out to be updated, others wanting to leave the line and demanding they be allowed back in at the same spot later, that kind of thing. So angry and entitled all at once. I can't go into too much detail, but one of the video technicians from KISS's crew was let go, and yesterday was his last show. His parting gift to us was an unexpected image at the end of the show that threw us all off. Needless to say he will never work in the industry again.
Now that the show is over, I am heading to my hotel room to get a couple of hours rest before heading home for a four day break. ...
