Our first stop was to visit Deb's mom in NJ. We hadn't seen her in almost 2 years! After getting our feet wet (Deb drove this first leg from MA to NJ) we ordered Chinese food and had a lovely dinner in the apartment. Mom/Grammy had researched all kinds of places for us to stay with the RV and the one we ended up choosing was to park and sleep in the Stop and Shop parking lot right across from her building. Okay, for those of you considering this kind of ...

It was slightly bizarre watching it come up on you so quickly from a little distance away. We got to the boat and Cocoa, frightened and unsure of where to hide, was out on the deck getting soaked. I put Cocoa below and the men all readied the plastic for the enclosure ...

Leaving here at 3:30 am trying to make Cape May in one day. Handsteering will be somewhat easier since we can just follow the other two boats as opposed to being focused on the compass and a rhumb line. Supposed to get "swells" from Danielle down the NJ coast but I have been promised by Gerry and Dave that they should be very manageable compared to what we had on other recent ...

Nancy wrote me to tell me the view is amazing and it's a 60 step climb to the house- can't wait! On a side note, the new roomie is pretty cool. Her first night here, I made quesadillas and we (Emily, Emily, and I) drank beer around the island in the kitchen. The vibe was very natural and easy. I like her... Sofa-city-sleeping isn't ...
