... again at the heavitree gap caravan park, and during our stay we took in just the tiniest section of the east macdonnel ranges by visiting emily's gap, home of several aboriginal markings telling the story of how a giant caterpillar once emerged from the land and crawled across the earth so creating the ranges! after alice springs, we head north, not sure how much land we would be able to cover that day or where we would be staying for the night. that day, we crossed ...

India drop-kicked us right out of the country on March 27th. She blessed Sandi with a stomach bug for the first 24 hours of the 40-hour trip between Mumbai and Christchurh, New Zealand (with stops in Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Auckland). ... of course I'll take the freebie! So I saw the penguins, leant about Antarctic life and took a Hagglund Snow mobile ride. When I got to the backpackers in town there were loads of girls coming off buses into the hostel. Normally a dream right! But tonight I took an early night to get up at 5am for my bus to the airport and flight to Melbourne. After all, my last trip to Christchurch 11 days ago gave me everything I could ask for, and more.......

Bonjour a tous ! Nous voici de retour en Nouvelle-Zelande ! Nous avons passe 2 semaines incroyables a faire des activites hors du commun, a retourner a nos endroits preferes et a en decouvrir de nouveaux ! NOus avons premierement nager avec une centaine de dauphins sauvages a Kaikoura ! A bord d'un petit bateau nous nous sommes partie a leur recherche puis a 3 reprises nous avons pu faire de la plongee en apnee avec ces creatures merveilleuses !! c'etait magique ! ... only a short drive to our lunch stop in Mt. Cook Village. We spent part of the afternoon walking around in the national park and simply sitting back enjoying the stunning scenery. We then made our way to our home, and nestles into the hills on the shores of Lake Ohau. Once we got all stalled in, before we knew it it was time for an evening stroll, a quiet drink on the deck as we all watched the sunset silhouette Mt Cook amongst the nearby mountains.
