      We woke up this morning and enjoyed a nice breakfast in our hotel room. We checked out of our broom closet, and then began our 3 hour trip to Paihia, a small tourist beach town north of Auckland.       ... on the jetty, a large sting ray swam under us, which raised a lot of interest. Having done as much of the town as we wanted to see, we caught the ferry back to Paihia and climbed the hill to our accommodation for the last time.
      Having had such a substantial lunch we have decided to miss a meal tonight and will spend the evening sorting ourselves out and getting ready for the journey south tomorrow.
