6 hour flight from Orlando to LA...had to get up at 3am ( you have to be at the airport 2 hours prior to departure for domestic here). Then picked up a car and headed to Pismo Beach, stopping on the way at Santa Barbara for lunch. Highlights: - lunch at Sandbar in Santa Barbara - fantastic Mexican - could have stayed here all day - the drive was beautiful - Pismo Beach...the Pier, the kids having a swim, just a cute little town - getting to bed early and having a 10 hour ...
... wide open beaches, sunset over the water, birds flying, a gentle breeze blowing - what a nice way to spend the evening. Pismo beach is a large seaside town with vast expanses of sand and many restaurants and beachy type shops playing for the tourist dollar. ... friendly state beach so we leash up Maverick and Molly and take them with us.Trails line the bluff for miles. Below the 20' high bluffs lie petite sandy beaches, pretty tidal pools and rock outcroppings. Morro Bay and its famous rock can be seen at a distance. This is wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature.
We head on back to the campground happy that we once again traveled our favorite portion of coastline.
