How time flies etc. on our last beach day, we walked a lot on the beach, mailed shells and stuff home, read a lot and wrote down the name of every rental place on the beach so Steve could do his research on where to stay next year. Head out and come across a lady who says the flies are really bad but we figure she just walks slow and they will not get us.. we get about a mile down the beach and get swarmed.. have at least 50 on each of us at once like pigpen. These things don't stop until they bite or you ...

... with fleas that had gotten into the tent. We were both covered head to toe in bug spray but we both have lots of bites. We got up at 6:30am to pack up and got on the road around 7:30.

It was a really, really beautiful island and a very cool place to see but the bugs were tough to deal with! We are now driving west along the coast of Florida on our way to Gulf Shores. We ...
