      ... over to see the East Slough. Again, as you can tell from the pics, it is unbelievably beautiful, as you see the tall pines, salt marshes, small ponds and sloughs.       ... Tacoma and Gig Harbor makes my stomach queezy but I love its beauty and drama. The bridge I hate the most is the one which crosses the Columbia River from Astoria at the mouth to the Pacific Ocean. Pulling a camper across THAT one leaves me speechless with FEAR rather than awe. Just thinking about it makes my stomach turn.

      Today we are moving on the St Joseph Peninsula State Park which was recommended to us in South Carolina. We take our time packing up as we want to bike around the town of Appalochicalla and have lunch there. We walk out to the pier at Ho Hum before we leave and see several small hammerhead sharks swimming in the shallows, yikes.
