        ... a pool and we could really have used one! The first one I called, had an voice mail message that they don't take calls after 1:00pm & leave a message & they'll call you back... ... it was already 6:00pm (PST). We gained another hour in there someplace....

        A whopping 101 degrees and it wasn't until we settled on this Sun Resorts, with no pool, paid for and all, that I found a place that had a pool! ...

        ... were feeling proud of ourselves. In Dallas we landed on time only to be delayed for an hour and half due to a mechanical repair.

        So we landed in Las Vegas at dusk, shuttled to Avis (manhandling our 3 bags & two golf bags) where we picked up our Ford Edge SUV and drove in the dark for 85 minutes north to Mesquite.         ... of the strip we rode thru about 6-12" of water just puddled on the road. So I will say thank you to whomever was watching over us.
