A Pretty Sliver on an Ugly Day

... from St George to Las Vegas can tell you how ugly it is and in some places even more so. One area literally looked like a dump for piles of dirt, sand, and rocks. Any way, this canyon added a bright spot to our trip and made us smile in awe.

We are now settled in at Nellis AFB. We be here for seven days. On the way out soon to find Dunkin Donuts!

Zion National Park through to Mesquite Nevada

... the entrance to the park you are also entering the canyon. The drive through Zion is breathtaking, winding roads right up against steep cliffs, massive tunnels and sweeping rivers. If anyone asks for a recommendation between Zion and Monument Valley, I would definitely recommend Zion. Four Days in Mesquite NV ???

... was the comedian and was pretty funny (for the most part). Afterwards, we grabbed a bite to eat then played slots.

I won $100 on my favorite 25 cents slots; Wheel of Fortune. I took my money and ran. Glen was playing penny slots and won $15. Not bad, huh?

Tomorrow we leave for an overnight in Beaver UT then onto Ogden where we will stay at Hill Air Force Base Family Camp.
