Thankfully we both woke up feeling nearly back to normal so we headed out to start the morning becoming balloon chasers.... what fun! We went back to the same two spots along the Rio Grande where we had been before and then followed the balloons as they drifted through the perfect blue sky. After our fill, we drove to the Petroglyph National Monument where 7000 individual images can be seen, etched into the rocks. We did not have time for them all, so hiked three trails to see a ...

My only regret is we didn't get to see many of the trees turning into their fall colors. The leaves were just beginning to change in Flagstaff as we ...

A pee stop was a necessity for Andy before we set off into the Wild West and the sun had come out in full force, warming us nicely now. ... moment. Driving slowly, we headed east towards the cloud-covered mountains. In the rear-view mirror we could see more balloons decorating the cloud-filled sky so pulled over and parked, hopping out to compose a few pictures. A lovely full moon sat amid wispy clouds, making great photos when the balloons moved in front of it.

After our fill, we headed on, joining lots of cars on the road, all of them prone to the major distraction of giant, colorful hot air balloons ...
