... it wasn't a cocktail bar (despite the sign outside) and that I had to state what cocktail I wanted - I opted for a margarita which was OK although a bit strong. Charlie played safe with a beer. We woke up quite late in Lubbock, we'd slept reasonably well but the room was still horrendous! We went out and had breakfast (it came free so we thought why not) - vaguely wish I hadn't! We saw the Carwash, Walter Whites house, Jesse's House, Jane and Jesse's apartment, and Garcias Kitchen Old Town where we stopped in for brunch. No visit to Albuquerque is complete ...

Had one of my best nights sleep last night. Early to bed, early to rise! The haunted caboose did not disappoint. We had three separate occurrences last night. Beds shaking twice and an invisible presence putting its hand on Genevas back ... Spooky! I didn't feel mischievous spirits ... Which isn't a bad thing. Breakfast at Canyon Coffee Shop before the one-hour drive to Grand Canyon National ...

... and will drive up and bring my car back. I sit in the shade as he leaves with my keys and he is back really fast. He immediately determines that my alternator, which supplies the power to run my car and charge the battery, has died. Now, remember, this place is out in the middle of the desert with nothing around. He reaches up on a shelf. I'm talking straight to a specific shelf, no looking around or anything, and pulls out an alternator. He says he has ...
